It was recently announced that the Community Trust, in partnership with Dundee United Football Club and CalForth Construction, are investigating the potential for redeveloping the Hegarty Suite into a brand new Community Hub within the CalForth Construction Arena.

The new community hub will provide a flexible space which can host a broader variety of community projects and events. We have used this space, and others within the stadium for 10 years as we work hard to improve the lives of people in Dundee, and this work will allow us to really progress this agenda. As part of this work we will be upgrading accessible toilet facilities and installing a mezzanine floor to really make the most of the space for the benefit of the community.

The works will also see significantly improved matchday facilities for Dundee United supporters, in what is a real win-win. Many of the Club’s fanbase already engage with the Charity and receive our support, and support our work. By working together with the Club and CalForth Construction to improve this space for supporters on a matchday, we also hope it helps raise awareness of our work and, importantly remind supporters that we are here to help them when they need us.

We want to gather input from across the Community as we start the process of shaping this exciting project; which will bring about lasting change for the community as well as a refreshed new space for Dundee United supporters on a matchday.
